Despite your propensity for being clueless, I agree. And he might be a top pairing guy as well.

Sticks and stones may break my bones but you're still a Habs fan.

Phaneuf sucks, so no.
- Drij

He might not play for team Canada, but he is far away from sucking.

1. Phaneuf is 6th in the NHL among defenseman in TOI.
2. He plays PP and PK.
3. He plays against the other teams best players ever night
4. He scored 44 pts last season (12th in NHL)
5. 9th among D-men in goals in the NHL
6. He has the hardest job of being captain of the Leafs with people breaking him down on a daily basis
7. 4th in the NHL among D-men with 7 PP goals. Meanwhile he is 18th in PP ice time per game.

He is much better than people give him credit.

Haters gonns hate!

add Gleason, Scuderi and ORPIK to that mix. I wouldn't want E. Johnson on our D. nooo way. not me ha. He's just 1 season out of being traded from the Blues because he was so inconsistent. Gleason, Scuds and Orpik are much more solid and reliable options. Orpik isn't fast, but for one of the best big shutdown dmen, he's not slow either.
I like your lines.. but does Kane play center? Is he good on draws? idk, i don't watch a lot of Blackhawks hockey. If he can manage, I do like your lines a whole lot. Malone may be slowing down already.. in a year and a half, who knows. I tell you what tho, that Krieder kid from NY was pretty spectacular in his 1st NHL action.. thrown into the playoffs! Size, speed, smarts, and a shot. He has potential to be our 4th line LW.

Parise - Kesler - Kane
Ryan - Stastny - Kessel
Pavelski - Oshie - Brown
Malone - Backes - Callahan

Suter - Yandle
Orpik - J.Johnson
Gleason - Byfuglien
Shattenkirk

good point. Ryan Malone is just as good and this frees up Pacioretty to play for the Italians.
