I suggested Grig in the Ek thread, and the Buffalo fans just ripped into me. Still, I find it interesting that they'd draft 2 centers when they already have CoHo, Luke Adam and Joel Armia in their system....I would love if Edm could get Grig, but not getting my hopes up.

If they were going to deal Grigorenko they would have just dealt the draft pick before the entry draft. Trading him now is just bad PR.

They place a lot of value on a guy with so many questions around leading up to the draft. I wouldn't want Grigs, especially at the cost of any established NHLers.

The high value is because he is easily the most talented prospect we've got. Not necessarily the best but the Sabres haven't had a guy with this much potential in their farm system for a long time.

buffalo needs to move a guy but i dont think edmonton is our best trade partner. i see philly/buffalo trade. a guy like talbot.

Hall is not a center, he is not going anywhere anyway, either is RNH (going anywhere). Meyers is not getting moved. Gagner is a top 6 center, albeit not a star top 6. There are a few young third liners with potential.

An untouchable for untouchable trade? Would certainly be a possibility although were talking about two GM's who are pretty shy when it comes to big moves.

Most likely would probably be something like Myers + Flynn + 2nd for Eberle + Whitney (Oilers then have a 1st line of 1st overall picks, which is pretty sick). I'm not really sure if it's fair or not mainly because i really don't know what Whitney's value is at this point.
