Any deal for Myers will certainly involve one of Hall, Eberle or RNH. We dont want to give them up. Buffalo doesn't want to give up Myers. This is a non-issue. Ek is a tool. Clouts is looking for hits. Bieber is a fag, and I want to drink beer.

This trade idea seems really unfair for the Oilers. No way the Oilers can't find a better deal for Gagner than Sekera +. If anything Hemsky seems more likely

I love how eklund mentions a rumor that is incredibly vague with details that most of us can make up in 10 seconds, generates hundreds upon hundreds of comments, and then never mentions it again.

Judging by his words, it's a major trade, even if it is not going to happen because it's mentioned by him.

But, fun to guess...

Gags, MP both fit from his comments, and they are the closest. Harti is not a top 2 winger, neither is Lander, and Omarks ship has sailed to little value land.

Gags, MP and a 2nd round pick for Sekera and Grigorenko.

Oilers appeared to have a Jones for Grigs before the draft, if they traded down, that appeared to be the guy they wanted. Grigs fell down a bit in the draft, and may have indicated something that could cause the sabres to consider trading him. Sekera is signed for 3 years, and with the Sabres depth coming, I'm pretty sure Buffalo would want to free up some space considering their back end is very expensive.

Not sure why Buffalo would want Gags, but no way in hell would the Oilers trade the number 1 rated prospect in the league in RNH (according to HF) unless it was Meyers AND Buffalos top prospect AND something else on top. My feeling is Buffalo needs to do better this year and improve the team if they want to keep up. Gags is more of a sure thing than Grigs, and with Ott joining, be a nice start up for a decent 2nd line.

MP fits "a third line young player who many feel has top six potential" to the tee. could see Buffalo interested in him, they seem to have some good left wing prospects, but not so many right wing prospects.

I suggested Grig in the Ek thread, and the Buffalo fans just ripped into me. Still, I find it interesting that they'd draft 2 centers when they already have CoHo, Luke Adam and Joel Armia in their system....I would love if Edm could get Grig, but not getting my hopes up.

They place a lot of value on a guy with so many questions around leading up to the draft. I wouldn't want Grigs, especially at the cost of any established NHLers.
