I'll stick up for vanek...my math may be off but he has averaged 34 goals a season (post drury/briere)with no help up the middle....pretty good if you ask me. most of the goals he was probably taking a beating in front of the net....now he might have some talent to set him up(grigorenko)...not to mention he has a crazy good shot that he rarely get a chance to use

the d they are talking about is 95% not myers. so drop it. it is also 90% not ehrhoff. so that leaves mcnabb or leo or sekera or regehr.

OK this is for all the Buffalo fans. The fact is Eklund says there is a young top 6 Center. On the Edm roster, that gives you Hopkins and Gagner. Hopkins is not going anywhere, so that leaves Gagner. If he's moved, there will be another Center coming back, as there's nobody in the Oilers system that can step in there anytime soon, if ever. If they're looking at moving him, it'll be for a bigger Center, likely in a package deal.

Consider this Sabres fans: maybe a deal like this goes through, with one of Grigorenko or Girgensons going back to Edm. Obviously there's more pieces, likely a Dman to Edm and a winger to Buffalo. At the same time, Buffalo works a deal for Bobby Ryan, sending CoHo the other way; or maybe does something nuts and brings Patty Kane home. Then you've suddenly got a use for Gagner don't ya?

yeah the majority of the people who are buffalonians live in the suburbs surrounding it. our city is really sad. poor city planing and corruption plus we are part of NY which kills us because of NYC. the good things is its cheap to live here, its easy to get around and you can take a 15 min drive from the city to the country.

Unlike many cities Main street isnt our "main" street. Theyre actually doing construction now to make Main accessible by road again instead of just by subway. That has already begun to pump some life into Main. That combined with UBs new medical campus coming downtown Main street will be good to go, it will probably take 5-8 years but it will be fine. Delaware and Elmwood are the "main" streets in Buffalo.

Honestly I would rather have Girgensons/Grigerenko than Gagner. Wouldnt give up either for him at the moment. Hodgson and Ennis have as much talent as him IMO, so why send a package the other way for somethign we already have?
