why do oilers fans always think they can trade for top players or players with high potential without giving something of value back? trades seamingly always involve gagner, mps, olmark, etc. all of which are not highly regarded troughout the league. if you still haven't realized, if you wants something of value, you have to give something of value back. not spare parts lol. btw gagner already hit his ceiling, been in the league 5 years, he wont magicly get better, he migh get more pts with better wingers but hes not gonna be a better player. - washingtonsux
Take a look at how other fans also over value their players...
And check out The Sedins stats their first 5 years in the league...I guess after their first 5 years we should have called them busts and all assumed they had hit their ceiling as well...

a lot imo - gerbe75pts
Yeh. It definitely wouldn't be worth it to try to get him from a division rival, especially since his 3rd line energy projection...I just love the way he plays. He's a thug out there and he's only going to get bigger and meaner.

that wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for us.. but Gagner is just garbage.. unless we slot him in on our 3rd line between Ott and Leino.. THats just A LOT of coin for a 3C
I bet you couldn't even get Gagner to lay a hit in NHL 12. - JVince117
anyone who thinks gagner and a 3rd liner for myers is remotely equal value is delusional. it would be eberle, hall, rnh, yakupov. sorry edm, but gagner and hemsky together don;t get you a potential top 2 d-man.
For all of you idiots thinking that it's Myers, you're wrong. He has a no movement clause in his contract making him ineligible for a trade until the 2016-2017 season. Therefore, he would have to approve a trade and who would do that because Edmonton is a hole.

Any Oiler fan that thinks Myers is going to be included in any deal needs to have their head examined ,"just saying" because that just is NOT going to happen.
Realistically the dman is one of 3.
It's either Sekera, Mcnabb or Pysyk .
The other player I firmly believe may in fact be Enroth.
Who is coming back is anyones guess.
Myers is not going anywhere unless Hopkins is included in any deal.
If Enroth is part of said deal I would expect the "Bulin wall" coming to the Sabres as part of the package.

well you probably dont remember those years lol but 35-45 points for 3rd line minutes is actually pretty damn good. then comes 2004 when they start playing 1/2 line minutes and boom 70+ points. nuff said

Coming from someone in Buffalo???? Pot meet kettle!
We have the same thought on the trade. If it is Myers instead of Leopold/Sekera then Gagner would be upgraded to RNH - Jacob582
Edmonton might of loced grigorenko at the draft. but unfortunetly to my knoledge he cant be traded until hes finished 1 year of pro. and the nhl doesnt carry a player to be named later like baseball does. i could be completely wrong. i cant remember the last time a newly drafted player was traded in the same year as his draft year.
O wait I see how this works. OK. How about RNH-Hall-Eberle and a 2012 2nd for Sekera-Adam-Gerbe and a 2012 1st - sabrescupbound
Seems legit The entire idea is a joke. As I said, though, both teams have a weakness at center. Whether it be depth in Edmonton, or top-end talent in Buffalo. Honestly, though, I felt the value was at least closer than what anyone else was putting out I'm too naive for me own good...
To get a #1 center now is the only reason I see. There's no way it's gonna be RNH so if it's a center, it has to be Eberle. I can't see Buffalo getting another small center like Gagner. Plus we have to many young centers then so my guess is one of the G's would be going the other way.
