How does Gagner represent anything more than the guys we already have at center. He is not #1 and we have enough #2 type guys for the season. I can only see us selling off some spare parts ie wingers and defense
Stevie Y would get fired for that. Hedman will be one of the premier shutdown dmen in this league, and Malone is a 50P guy. Give me a (frank)ing break. That's something Gauthier or Milbury would offer up, not Stevie Y. - FLYERSROCK!

Welll.... Anaheim wants a 2C... so they want Ennis or Hodge in any trade with us..
If we can get Gagner in a trade... maybe we can just flip Ganger to Anaheim being that he is a 2C with other pieces for Ryan??

Some on this board have suggested that Gagner is the center to be used in the Bobby Ryan trade.

The Canes should make the playoffs in 2013.
Doan is NOT going to Nashville. Where do you get this stuff??? As for the contracts, if the Rangers want him, it will be for over $6M per season. Obviously if he stays in PHX it will be for a lot less. If it is VAN, it will be about $5M per season. Doan will accept different contracts from different teams. East coast teams will have to pay a premium if they want him. - pmg2008
Probably directly from the mouths of Trotz and Poile as they've already said they're talking to Doan about coming here and feel the Preds are on his short list.
It's also been thrown out there today that the Preds have offered Doan 4 years, $28M. Couple that with the fact that a NY paper is saying that an unidentified team has offered Doan 4 years at $7M per and you can see why there's speculation.
Doan loved playing for Trotz. He's friends with Weber and Fisher. I don't see it as such a slam dunk that he won't come to Nashville.
why do oilers fans always think they can trade for top players or players with high potential without giving something of value back? trades seamingly always involve gagner, mps, olmark, etc. all of which are not highly regarded troughout the league. if you still haven't realized, if you wants something of value, you have to give something of value back. not spare parts lol. btw gagner already hit his ceiling, been in the league 5 years, he wont magicly get better, he migh get more pts with better wingers but hes not gonna be a better player.
I think the 'star' top-six center would have to be Horcoff or Gagner; Edmonton is not moving Eberle or RNH. I would prefer Horcoff over Gagner because he is older, with Gagner we would have 3 -22 year old centers... thats sketchy. Horcoff is a veteran who is decent at facoffs, and would do a good job feeding Vanek and Pominville in my opinion.
I don't know who this "verge" top-six forward would be, but I hope its a RW. We are short-stacked on the right side.
I dont think Tyler Meyers is going anywhere. More likely it is Regehr, Leopold, or Sekera along with our top D-prospect (McNabb). McNabb is absolutely ready to crush bodies in the NHL, in no way anything to sneeze at.
Trading Enroth sketches me out so much. Just saying.
Might make morse sense to do a 1 for 1 trade: Horcoff for one of Regehr, Leopold, or Sekera
