We just said that he wasn't as good as gone. Another reading comprehension failure. We, well I will rephrase that, most, never said he was for sure going to stay or for sure going to leave, we just reiterated that he was still seriously considering New Jersey.
And no, my comment is exactly what happened. I read about it throughout the entire two seasons and practically every comment he made. Lou probably could've locked him up when he had exclusive rights, but then partnering with Suter and going to his home state, where his dad played, was too good to be true. - _Zippy_
I think you have the reading comrehension problem little one. I said MOST of you not you (I dont know what you have said in the past) but most Devils fans I have talked to have said he wasnt going anywhere.
Im done with this topic because Parise is gone and Devils have no replacement.

No, most were saying there is a good chance we re-sign him. There was. The trolls were saying he hated it here, we didn't have the money, etc, which was all false.

Well, may not be so false.
Let's be fair here. - Atomic Wedgie
Devils were willing to put out the money to pay him, maybe not so willing to use it elsewhere, but they were ready to pay him. Sort of like the Weber situation, they were willing to pay him out of necessity but they probably didn't like to pay him that dollar amount. Devils beat writer, Tom Gulitti, even reported that a while back.
