I wouldn't be shocked that if a deal did occur involving the Sabres moving a defenseman of significance, Regehr would be shipped back to Canada and the Western Conference. They aren't going to resign him, and I'd rather have McNabb take his spot now.
Just got back from Patriots training camp. Got to see Tom Brady and Drew Brees simultaneously do red zone passing drills towards me on each field, pretty cool. Wore my Brian Moorman t shirt and it wasn't until walking back to the parking lot when I got my first taunt, from an 8 year old " Bills stink!" - Gunner Staal

Ek hardly knows what he is talking about so i think what gerbe said has wheels - IndianaSabresFan
Giving up Enroth scares me (just a little, though), but if the deal is Sekera & Jhonas for Gagne & Magnus, then they should pull the trigger. Wait, just maybe, I've got it....(wheels are turning here)...Darcy then spins Gagne and Stafford to Anaheim for Ryan.

- completely desolate. There's no one there. - You've obviously only been there in the winter. You were probably in a business or banking district near that is closed at that hour. Why would anyone hang around tall buildings that are closed in January?
- Buffalo--Sabres
Winter, yes. I've never been to the city (other than the shopping malls in the burbs) in the summer. I can't think of a reason why I would want to. Banking district? No. I've been to a couple of Sabres games, a few world junior games, among other things. I've been to the so called entertainment district. Even the areas that were supposed to be lively seemed pretty dead to me.
- quite a bit of snow. We haven't had a snow storm, an storm by my standards in 4 years.
Problem is, like any visitor, you probably don't know where the place to be is. Hertel, Elmwood stuff like that. Not, chieppewa, not outside the hockey arena on an off night. There is not one night of the year Elmwood and Hertel aren't jumping. Ever. - Buffalo--Sabres
The thing is, you say "by your standards", and that's the key. Living in a place can tend to change your standards. A little bit of snow by your standards is someone else's snowstorm. A "jumping" night by your standards is another person's waste of time.
He also said a ""significant" defenseman" which isn't Andrej. - Chipd
IF this rumor is true: No way Myers or Ehrhoff Move. Everyone else is fair game.
My guess the oilers would want to get rid of is Hemsky. He makes 5 mil a year and next year 2 of the Oilers stars are comming up for contracts. i think its Hall and Eberle?? So the oilers could free up some cap space!
as for Schumer / Bills: I hope / wish its a new stadium in downtown Buffalo. THAT would be a HUGE cherry on top! Bringing games / other events to a retractable roof stadium would be huge for the area! Anytime you can bring 65- 73 thousand people downtown is a good thing! People will stay in hotels, go out to the bars, and spend money! Then im sure "other events" besides Bills games could use the stadium!
