Once Doan resigns with the Yotes its going to get real boring. Then the next big news for us is how Grigs does on his 9 game trial and if hes going back to the Q or not.

Girgensons or Grigorenko...

one of them will be a Sabres for the season.. I just have a feeling..

I CANNOT imagine that the Sabres are serious about Leino being the 3rd line center.. I think Grigorenko or Girgensons will be that 3C with Ott/Leino on their wings.

lets hope that Homer is wrong about the Sabres thinking about Leino being a 3rd line center.

I would go as so far as to say that you have more chance of seeing Kevin Porter as the 3C before Girgensons this season. Just my opinion.

Wow, Regehr taking a ton of heat in this thread. I didn't think he was great last season, but I didn't think he was Rivet levels of bad. If the rumors of him being injured are true, perhaps we'll see a better season from him.

BTW Kev nice job with these pieces. I enjoy seeing them every day. Even if I don't always comment know that there are people out there reading them.

Regehr plays the toughest, most defensive-minded minutes so the more gifted offensive blue liners can play the more protected -- and more offensively productive -- TOI.

It's brilliant by Lindy Ruff, but can be a bit unfair by Robyn Regehr w/ respect to how the fan base values his overall play. You're expecting greatness, but he's constantly forced in situations where the positive outcomes are really non-negatives(that is, stopping scoring opportunities against), and the negatives are goals against.

The points were a little low, but overall, I thought he had a pretty strong season. Remains one of their best blue liners.

So Mr. Yost, how may divisional games do you see us taking this season (Bills).

Three. This season has 8-8 written all over it. And I'm not complaining.

All I ask is that the Bills remain competitive and play hard thru sixteen weeks. And never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever force me to watch Trent Edwards play professional football again.

Excited to see the Spiller // Jackson tandem -- think it's going to be sensational. I hold some reservations about this suddenly-vaunted pass rush, though. Need to see it live against these monstrous offensive lines in the AFC.

If they're effective, this team can reach the playoffs. If not, the weak back-seven's going to be exposed just like last year.

.... I am confuz?

Maybe i am missing the joke... but he would go to Rochester if not Buffalo. Grigorenko would go back to the Q with Quebec Ramparts.

I agree that Girgensons would be better suited as the 3rd line center...

but I think that if Grigorenko makes it.. it will be a learning curve for him as 3C in the NHL only until they give him a chance between Vanek/Pommer if Hodge isn't doing great at one point...

or if maybe the Foligno Ennis Stafford line is clicking like in last last year he could play 2C for a bit.

buffalo can send Girgensons to the Kelowna Rockets if they choose. .

It won't hurt his development .

WHAT? how would that work?

I have never heard of a player htat has never played in the Junior leagues getting sent there on assignment?

is it like an affiliate deal?

I would think they would want him in Rochester getting used to the speed of that game and building chemistry with all of his teammates. IMO.
