True but as a big Isles fan why would he want to bring this up now especially with the team not in the best of shape? It may be different if the team was doing very well. The timing seems very bad. I can understand if anyone thinks I'm making too much of this.

I don't really think it's much of a big deal. Positive or negative, it's a newsworthy story right along the lines of the kind of things 30 for 30 does. It's not like people are going to watch it and were going to lose all those bandwagon fans in other states we have. Frankly, I was pretty young during the Spano shenanigans (and not nearly as knowledgeable about hockey), so I'm actually looking forward to watching it.
