I am not sure the ability to fight is a classification for one of the best but a guy like Crosby is the most dominant player offensively, he drops the gloves when needed, is great on FO's, and does have the ability to forecheck with his speed.
Can he fight a guy like Lucic or Backes noway but on the flip side neither of these guys can stand a chance with Crosby's offensive abilities either.
Again removing fighting I would also put guys like Jonathan Toews, Patrice Bergeron, Kesler, Corey Perry, in that conversation as well - willey101
Perry fights more then half the guys on the list |

Thus no fighting has been done by Crosby.

The title of the blog is who is the best power forwards in the league. Kassian has a lot to prove - MCGUIZZY
Ya I'm just joking but he's definitely got the potential. I don't see anyone in the league with his mix of size, vision and hands. I'm happy he's trained as hard as he has this offseason. He spent a lot of time with the Sedins before they left and the twins are workout freaks. Every year they come first in fitness testing. |

I define a power forward as someone who can put up the points, and is also able to go in the corners, hit hard, and also take pishment ot make a play.
I think owan nolan is probably the best all time power forward so I'd always compare against him. Gary Roberts a close second.
I think Ovechkin is probably the best now, although i think Jonathon Toews should get some honorable mention here.

LA Kings fans said Dustin Penner trained his hardest last offseason. Though he did put up a respectable 17 points |

If he can get consistent and stay focused. I noticed he can be a bit of a meat head sometimes. But that's fine if he's being physical and scoring goals. |

And as I said...fighting should not be a classification for best all around player. Adds a sense of intimidation for sure, and I'll agree that a guy like Lucic is arguably the most intimidating player in the game. That a guy like Backes excels at different aspects of the game but because he can fight should have no relevance to best all around. |

Eric Lindros maybe as the best, Shanahan as well? Hard to argue Gordie is not the greatest Power forward all time though |
