That guy was posting on here last year and is a hab fan. No connections or sources and pretty much does the same as IC bob and the rest of the hacks. Not that it would be a bad idea for the nucks, but the source is way less then credible. |

I have a Vantel App on my Iphone. I just recieved a notification of a update.
I think that would be money well spent and short term solution for the hole in the middle. I wonder how he would mix with AV though? But on a one year deal there is nothing to lose imo. Schroeder could be handled differently with less pressure.

But there’s no question the 6-foot-5, 220-pound Arnott could be the short-term answer for the Canucks, who will be without second-line centre Ryan Kesler until December and didn’t re-sign No. 3 centre Samuel Pahlsson. He distinguished himself as one of the top conditioned players on the Blues last season and still possesses a very good shot so can contribute on the power play — as demonstrated with his six PP goals in St. Louis.
Arnott, who’s at the stage of his career where he’s willing to sign a one-year deal, also had a decent face-off winning percentage of 50.3 per cent, while posting a plus-13 on the NHL’s second-best five-on-five team.
Last season in St. Louis, Arnott played mostly with Langenbruner and Alexander Steen (and others) on the other wing.

Didn't you read "If only he could go score like the hit he gave... He would've been power forward."? I believe you are selective reader/listener. - NOAH_U
Kovalev had some sick talent...incredible hands, but he was an extremely lazy, unmotivated, chicken poop of a hockey player...
He is nothing remotely close to a power forward...but of yah, you said if he could hit like he could score...
And if queen had balls she'd be king... |

No way. He's not even top 5. Maybe top 10, but you're overrating him if you have him at #1.
I can think of at least 7 other team's trolls that I'd rank higher, and none have the mental baggage or reputation for playoff meltdowns that Bieksa#3 has, and several are younger.

Benn? He's not the best now but definitely top 3-5, and I think he could be number 1 this time next year. A lot of hits and fights and can deke his way out of a phone booth. Bloodied iginlas face , one punched E.Johnson and laid down malkin and emediately fought/pooped on Kennedy. - NoobasaurusRex

I didn't think there was a way I could hate Messier more and it happened. What a loser. Does he honestly think he was the reason why the Canucks brand increased. My god. Takes a dead mans retired jersey. Takes the heart and soul and legend of the teams captaincy and plays like poop and does this. Some leader. |

After mulling the thought through my head, I've come to the conclusion that, despite his low hit totals, I'd include Ilya Kovalchuk. He's incredibly strong on the puck, he's consistent to the tune of 10 consecutive 30-goal seasons and 8 consecutive 40-goal seasons, gets played in all situations, has shown the ability to work the front of the net (albeit not in NJ), works in the corners, shows willingness to fight, and- while he may not hit often- when he hits, you know it. Thoughts? - MaximumBone
I would say no to Kovy as his effectiveness is mostly pure
Skill, though all you say is true. My definition of a PF is the ability
To power ones way to the scoring areas which is why I would
Include a guy like vintage Leclair (who didn't really hit) but not
Guys like brown, cally, and m Richards tho they hit a lot, they
Are too small to just power their way to the
Net. When you add in a dose of nastiness it
Makes them even more effective a la Lindros
Messier Neely. That's prob why so many include
Lucic despite his somewhat lesser skill
Set. |

There seems to be a lot more hacks popping up on Twitter this summer. I admit that I follow them, but for entertainment value. At least they name teams and players, unlikely Ek who acts like a 5 year old claiming to know a secret and telling everybody that he's not allowed to tell anybody. |

If Gilman was handling contracts back then, no way that clause would have even been in the contract. It's just an indication of how poorly McCaw ran the team back then. |

The Canucks were a breath away from having Gretzky signed the year before and blew it by disrespecting him at home. Then they sign Messier instead. They were so close to soaring high but crashed and burned instead. Pilot error.
