I like Arnott, he would be a good third line center and would go along with our "tougher to play against" theme the Sabres are going for. Also would provide give Girgensons and Grigorenko some time to develop in the minors if we sign him to a 1 year deal.

I have a feeling its going to be Vanek going out. Not too many teams are going to want stafford, especially if hes the main piece for a top line center coming back. - Rally_Shots
I wouldn't be too upset if Vanek was the piece moved out.. he still can potentially be our best offensive player.. but I think his best years are behind him.. and for 7.2M the next 2 years.. I'd rather move him.
If it was Vanek for Stastny straight up... we would win because Stastny actually has better stats than Vanek does... look it up if you don't believe me.
I'd want Grigorenko or Girgensons to play before signing Arnott. - JVince11
Absolutely. Grigorenko will be on the opening day roster and Girgensons will be the first call up for an injury. I just can't see Doan coming to Buffalo.

My only question is we got centers and if we trade for lets say stas then what about Grigs and Big Z when they make the club.

I think Vanek will go (for Ryan) and Stafford will go (for Stastny or 'nother center).
Unless they blow us away in training camp, it will probably be better for their development for them not to make the club this year.
I can see Grig. getting a long look in preseason games and the first 9. I can see Z being a key (but small minute) contributor in a gritty 4th line role for the playoffs if there are injuries.

I cannot disagree more... If Girgensons or Grigs are not getting atleast 3rd line time then they would be better off in the Q or AHL because there they would get top line minutes..
Theyre finally getting rid of the parking lot infront of the FNC. Two proposals on the table and they're picking which one is getting built in the upcoming weeks. Either way should be good for the Sabres and downtown Buffalo.

that would be my group if I could dream of what we have with roster players. - JVince11
I agree with you for the regular season. But I was talking about the playoffs. I think that if Z (because of development and circumstance) is needed for 4th line duty in the playoffs then more power to him and the team. (Then again it will be even better if he is a key contributor on the 3rd line for the whole season like your lineup.)
I don't want two forwards making the team this year. Unless they both blow us away in training camp. It's great that Girgensons has the option of AHL. Gives much greater flexibility.

Neither will be regulars on this team this season and Grigorenko will not be on the opening day roster - where exactly would he play lol.
This is the Sabres...apart from Myers, we wait for years to get our prospects 'ready'.

The longer they play the game in Rochester the longer it takes Lindy to ruin them is my thoery.
good lord you are right.. that speed did make it so that he couldn't take a good shot. - JVince11
He was fun to watch and when it clicked for him he was dynamic. He had some great moments too. His fails far outweighed his potential to be great. Drawing his own linemates offside constantly is a good start to what was wring with the guy.

Public opinion while sway which one they choose. So says Byron Brown. I vote for Pegulaville.

........ I want to throw a shoe at you.
you are discrediting him as a hockey player because of his teammates being off sides.

Neither plan sounds like an incredible revenue generator as far as making a material dent in finances is concerned, but at least Pegula's plan is something different. All Paladino is looking to give is more hotels, offices, and apartments, which we have enough unused in the city already.

There is some validity to that point. A big part of Max's problem is that he was so unpredictable that his teammates had no clue what he was going to do, making all 5 of them a liability.
