Agree, but Dallas would never move Benn. Statsny would make Backlund expendable & agree, JBO + Backlund for Statsny & a 2nd or 3rd probably is a solid offer for Colorado. Remember, Colorado have him playing 3rd line centre at 6.6mill. Thats as bad as our 3.5 mill cap hit Stajan on our 4th line. CC is in that Butler category but being injury prone. Trade JBO, I dont think he is the answer, unless you get him for around 2.5 mill per year range, then you can roll the dice & hope Brodie steps up to top 4 during the year. Otherwise, just go into the season & hope & pray Brodie & Butler have huge years next year & can compliment Gio & Wideman in the top 4. Scary but nothing that cant be fixed next summer. - Kevin R

Then make them an offer they can't refuse. Jbo, Backlund, Nemisz and a stallion head in the owners bed ![:P](https://hbcf.s3.amazonaws.com/images/emoticons/tongue.gif) - TandA4Flames

You are probably right. By the time Feaster digests the offers for JBO, I dont see a trade being made & I would feel a hell of a lot better having JBO in our top 4 anyway. If its a salary dump, then we may as well trade Iggy & Cammi too, keep Kipper (his contract is too sweet for the next two years) and blow the thing up. If the offer overwhelms us, then I guess take a chance. Therefore, I trade JBO for Statsny straight up, but if we have to add, then I dont know, I would rather keep a decent defense & hope Backlund rebounds & Cerevenka is the real deal. - Kevin R

Prob is outside JBo, what do we offer the Avs for a Stasny? Honestly I think Wideman was brought in to offset the loss of JBo. We have a much greater need at center... - geta02it

Yeah, there may be a need from each side, but they are not equal in value...unfortuanately. |

Based on this logic, I suppose, the NHL has never seen a player with a NMC be traded? - Colin Dambrauskas

Just because Tambi likes to sit on his hands and not work at making trades, doesn't mean they don't happen. Difficult? Perhaps. But that is the GM's job. I know your GM likes to sit and wait for all those big win trades fall into his lap (which to date, I can't think of one that really mattered from him), but our GM actually seems to understand this part of the job.

if they were interested would they not have made an attempt to get him rather than leave him out there for anyone to grab? |

Don't forget to add Mikka. And he is MHO is most likely to be traded. |

Did I miss something? What significant trades has Feaster made? Why weren't the Flames in on Justin Schultz? |

Did some digging:
as per @flamesjambalaya - current Jbo offer is Filppula, Ericsson and a pick |
