Vancouver is known for weed not blow. So Kadri would not enjoy it at all. |

He's worth 6+ but I think he'll resign in the 5 range. He's comfortable here. He's pretty introverted and shy. I don't think he'd be comfortable going into a new environment. I can't see him wanting to leave with so many friends and Swedes on the team. - Boinker
Based on last year alone, especially looking at playoffs, he is not worth that kind of money. With that said he will probably get it and then the next mediocre+ blueliner will ask for 7.5/year and so on....

Edler hasnt even hit his potential yet. I think 5.75 would be a bargain |

Why does everyone want B. Schenn? Kovy trashed him in a fight... - Flyfreaky
Why does it matter if he can fight? He's got internal drive, he's a competitor! He has a will to win and he'll do whatever it takes to win. Couturier, although very talented, I don't see the same kind of drive. |

Edler > Enstrom
His agent will settle for nothing less than $6 million per year under the current CBA. Come September under a new CBA, who knows? - LeftCoaster
Edler
386 43 141 184 33 200 21 1 2 789 5.4
Enstrom
380 32 172 204 0 216 16 1 2 507 6.3
And the Corsi numbers are pretty similar. I think the bridge is much closer than you think. |

if Edler could learn to be physical all the time, he'd be a Norris candidate. Because of his size and his overall skill-set, it's not even close. The big IF there is, if he can be more consistent. |

He's 26, I don't see how much potential is left to hit. And if that's the case, Enstrom could still hit a higher level of play on a worse team. |

Hard to say, I think these smaller PP QB's and PP Specialists simply are far too overlooked in terms of skill sets. Enstrom being a huge example of why.

i think you're underestimating enstrom. he is so underrated.
i am a huge edler fan but enstrom is at the same level. it's amazing how much enstrom gets overlooked. i guess it's not easy commanding attention when you play in atlanta/wpg.

Enstrom is probably more offensively skilled that Edler IMO, but his overall game is different than Edler's. |

Potential owner Greg Jamison did not reach out to Doan at all yesterday. It’s basically over, agent can’t believe it. Doan’s agent is now waiting for permission to start negotiations elsewhere. Visits could resume as early as Monday.

Flyers would offer Edler 6.3M/yr easy.
He could step right in when Kimmo leaves.
Vancouver will lock him up first, but I don't think they will get him under 6 a yr. |

I agree with this.
However, some guys never get it. Look at Phanuef. Guy should be a top 5 defense an in the league. Big guy who hits, can shoo, skate and has a mean streak. But is dumb as a stick. The majority o 10 yr olds have a better grasp of the game then him. As a result there isn't to many teams he'd be the best defenseman on. He got the money in hopes he'd learn. |
