Agreed......TSN guys seem to think the focus is still on Doan because Buffalo has the best offer, but Doan would like to see how serious teams are about getting to the promised land now. If Reiger acquires a significant player soon, Doan's interest will peak....the same message was probably conveyed to NYR and Philly and NYR got the job done, so they may now have the inside track.

Could see Gaborik traded for defensive help traded if Doan signs with NYR.

When was the last time a big name, star free agent signed in Buffalo. I don't even really want Doan, don't think he's worth that kind of money at his age, but Id bet anything in the world he's not signing with the Sabres, sorry to ruin the dream.

Yea....heard as much. Grew up in Newfane and live in Lockport. Kinda like that it's a great area for free summer concerts with Lockport, Artpark, the Harbor, etc. not to far from the Bills, Sabres, bandits games etc. Decent areas to shop not too far, a couple hours from Toronto. Feels like it'll be moving to the middle of nowhere.

Giving up playing and reffing hockey with the guys at the local rink is also gonna blow.

I lived in Minneapolis for almost 5 years and have to say, Vanek back in Minnesota would bring a tear to many scandinavian eyes....but mine too because I bought a Vanek 40th anniversiary sweater last year. Only thing is, I can't see Pomms on the 3rd line. people really cast him aside but he is really solid for the sabres. he's the captian and puts up numbers. He has to stay up top. I honestly don't see a place for Ryan on this team unless he comes with a serious #1 center. I really just want a #1 center for Vanek and Pommenville. Foligno Ennis Staff is a lock at 3rd and lets find the right wingers for CoHo at #2. I guess that's Leino and Ott right now?

I was born in Newfane and lived around Lockport most of my life as well. All I know about Dunkirk is that it's close to the lake and people from Lakeview go there because they have a Tops.
