That's ridiculous money for this guy. Just frickin' ridiculous. You guys can praise Holmgren all you want to but the fact of the matter is the Philadelphia front office is a train wreck. Their payroll situation is going to be a mess for years to come and they aren't going to have much to show for it. How's that Bryzgalov contract working out for them? - todstiles
Please dont be a Leafs fan..i like Holmgren..hes turned over whole roster, makes ballsy ass moves and doesnt care about cap implications as long as hes contending...now you got a team full of young good players like Giroux, Schenns, Couturier, Voracek, Read..plus hes clearly trying to add with that offer sheet to weber.. Im not a flyers fan even a bit, but you cant hate on the job hes done
EDIT: As far as the contract, seems about right..youre buyin out what a year or 2 of UFA...that costs money.. Seems like alot but its not about a number its about value to your team, and Holmgren believes thats how much value he brings.. Grabovski signed for what 5.5.. |

Voracek would be a top 6'er easy on the leafs.
Only winger u got thats def better is kessel.
Lupul and jvr are debateable. - hugefemale dog77
Lupul > voracek
Lupul was a ppg guy last year, granted he probably won't do that again but anywhere from 60-75 is realistic for him. Can't see voracek doing that this year maybe in a few years tho |

I'm sick of the stupid Flyers overpaying for average hockey players. Voracek is probably at best a 3 million a season player... and even that is pushing it. Holmgren is raising the bar for every team in the league. 17 goals does not equal a 4.25 million dollar hockey player.

Well Meyers and Sutter have no business earning that kind of money , Parise and Weber might have a case. |

Don't get me wrong I think he can just making a prediction based on the fact he's had close to 50 points the last three years n almost 40 his rookie year. Just seem to me to be a consistent 50 point guy.

Crosby, Malkin, Ovechkin, Stamkos, Perry, Sedins, Giroux, Datsyuk are not even in top 5. Even Kovalchuk deserve more to be in top 5 than the real top 5. |
