Great read made better by it comming true! I see semin lighting it up till mid to late January , then he losses interest . A shortend season next year would be the best thing for him.

I still worry about paying him this much money. What does that look like for future free agents? Yeah I had 2 down years but you overpaid Semin, even giving him a raise after having 2 down years. I hope this doesn't turn into a precedence of overpaying among agents.

I believe he speaks more English than he reveals to the press/public.

Now at the deadline, with Gaborik hurt , the Canes can move Semin and a pick to the NYR for Marc Staal. Mission complete.
