sure ill just believe the rantings of a billionaire who is trying to give hope to fanbase that has none.

And yet the Preds, since there entry into the league, have won the same number of Cups during that time frame as your Flyers.

Why wait?

If they are waiting becuase of the upfront 13 mill payment then are their pockets really all that deep?

Someone explain how waiting benefits them if their intention is to match?

I understand if they are trying to pull one of the flyers young studs away, but if their intention is to match why wait?

- acmilano3

Well waiting for one puts Philly in a holding pattern while other players they may have interest in possibly slip away.

EVERYTHING that everyone has said to you just goes right over your head!!! It's like talking to a freakin wall. We have like 15 mill before we hit the cap FLOOR! If you just want to argue go over to the flyer boards they are good at that!
- SouthNash

Makes no sense because cap space isn't the problem, real dollars is the problem. If Nashville doesnt match and takes Voracek and Meszaros they get a player who is bound to be a top 3 winger, an above average second pairing d man that has good offense and defense, two picks which they could trade for Jbo without having to blow up the franchise. Just my 2 cents

so the preds are only interested in Weber? No interest in improving their team otherwise.

why not match on day one and move onto Doan or their restricted fas?

Sorry. We are Phila fans. Get over it. Don't blow smoke up our you know whats.

The cap means nothing here. Even the average hockey fan knows that.

BTW - I think some of the points made on this board by Nash are valid. Good points. Honestly. Please do a little research.

None, but then I'm not on here gloating about how another team's fanbase has no hope. Surely even you can understand that distinction.

i cant believe he is bringing up cap space. that ignorance is amazing. come on people.

hey, you know what the preds may match it. they might. all we are saying is it probably does not make sense either fiscally or from a hockey perspective.

For someone who claims not to care whether or not Philly gets Weber, you are spending a hell of a lot of time debating about it.

Trying to toughen these folks up a bit. I love Nashville. Great people. Great town. Fun team. Love the keeper. Always thought Weber was a shorter faster Pronger. If Weber does not end up in Phila then i think the Preds fans deserve him. There is no place else i would prefer him to play.

If there was a little more pressure to win, however, Poiles actions with Suter and Weber might have been a bit different.

Just trying to deal in facts not tweets. Trying to engage in a fiscal conversation. Not working out so well.

As a head's up...don't believe any of the stats put out by the Tennessean. As a former journalist, I can tell you that their credibility regarding Preds matters is pretty bleak.

I have no idea what Nashville is going to do - I hope they match, but maybe it isn't in the cards.

Pretty amazing that you and acmilano can't understand that giving Nashville fans your version of "Business 101" would not be well-received on a Nashville blog.

The income statement is provided by the Preds ownership group. Come on. Forbes does not make up an income statement.

Maybe something local is more you speed.
