Uh Nash had a no trade clause. Wasn't coming here. Also moving okposo , grabner both makes the team worse even if you get a Nash.

Uh, read the bolded part of previous quote, first. Try and keep up.
I was talking about Nash and Rangers and that he isn't an elite forward based solely on LY Point total and value of his contract. ...but there's other players to trade for, without NTC's.

KO & Grabner (or equals) and then some, are what it's gonna take for this team to GET a trade for a Bobby Ryan. Have you been around much lately? It's been talked about a lot, duh.

You don't have to be there. You can clearly see there wasn't watching it on TV. I don't care what some bogus statitician says.

I gotta say, watching Center Ice an awful lot, while the Islanders may inflate their attendance numbers a little, they're nowhere near the worst offenders in that area. Some teams announce over 15,000 and there's not a soul in the entire lower bowl.

Don't be condescending . I wasn't with you. I've been around plenty the last few years so relax. And if you look it up, guys like Dreger and mckenzie have both said that Anaheim wants three pieces that don't add payroll, probably one of those being a 2nd line center. Two prospects and a pick would do it depending on those picks or prospects.

If the isles have to trade grabner and okposo to get Ryan then they shouldn't do it. All that does is add another giant hole in your depth scoring and grabner is capable of scoring more goals than Ryan. He scored just as many two seasons ago,

I think Grabner and two prospects will get Ryan, unless the Flyers make a big time offer.

Probably something like that... The ducks can wait a while until someone gets desperate and gives them a sick offer. Or, it could go the other way where they have to move him and take a lesser offer if it's close to the season starting

I'd be talking Semin's agent also. With Brooklyn a possibility, Semin could be a good player to have on the roster.

Most of us brought into the rebuild including myself. A few years ago I realized it was heading no where and I was foolish for believing in it in the first place. I'll believe it when I see it now.
- Cptmjl

We're in year five of this rebuild (or 4 if you listen to some). You're saying that 2 (or is it 3?) years into it you were fed up with a rebuild that even Snow admitted would take five years? Sounds like unreasonable expectations to me.

Everyone is just frustrated...I really thought the team would make a bold move by now. They can't possibly think this current lineup can compete in that division. Throw in the fact vismovsky doesn't want to be here and it's been a awful offseason.

If you had DPs attitude and heart in k.o or grabs they'd easily score 40 goals. All DP ever tries is to try to return to form to repay the team that drafted him. Why push him down when he can't go much lower? Not saying this will happen but what would you do If he posted 30 wins .925% next year, will you guys suddenly root for him

And as for Dee , she may not be the best blogger on the sight, but at least we have one. She puts in the time and effort and you guys just rip her apart
I for one am glad to know DP is still pushing himself, and likely pushing his teammates too.

But really, we aren't finishing above 26th again...

I think people are just fed up because there are things management has done like firing jankowski, gutting player development staff, hiring another ahl coach and it all seems like cost saving moves. I'm all for the rebuild and still am but don't cheap out on the resources that can make your drafted players better.

Hamonic, Tavares are the only young players the isles have drafted under snow that have developed into very good/great players and met expectations. In hamonics case he has exceeded them.

Tis rebuild is only going to work if the players we do have get to where they should be. Grabner, okposo, bailey etc all better make a nice leap forward this season. If they don't, then we have even bigger problems

Ya the Dee bashing is out of control. I disagree with her take on DP very strongly and a lot of other things but she does provide us a forum to talk about the isles and she does it for free. We don't pay her for this service. She is also a passionate isles fan who just wants to see them win like we all do

Not really when you look at who was brought in to mentor these kids and how some of the on ice/off ice crap was handled. Off the top of my head RDP backing up thaat game with Buffalo when he was clearly injured. Do I have to give you more stuff. Is it really neccesary?

I don't agree. He is at this point a negative, we have enough of those and I'm sure we'll add a few more before the season starts.
