Don't believe everything Wang says, haven't you learned yet? - Cptmjl
Its not just Wang, its Snow, Crappy...........my ticket broker literally said to me on the phone, that Garth is going to spend last season. If by spending he meant the tryout bums, then thats misleading. Thats not the kind of spending that will make this team relevant. Shame on them.... |

Again it doesn't matter if they play in a brand new arena or stay at that dump as long as Wang owns this team nothing will ever change - Vukota
Playing in a dump is different than being moved to another city.
2015 they may move out of NY.
Kinda like the Atlanta... Winnipeg relocation.
Could you imaging going from Hotlanta to Winterpeg????
No thanks... |

His side, his contract, his rehab, his hope for the season. - Dee Karl
Why did it take Visnovski's agent a month to realize his player had a no trade clause? Im sure this was discussed but i was away.

How do you not believe it when Snows makes a statement about adding via trade. I liked the visnovsky trade, but i dont think that should have been it. This team clearly on paper cannot compete with the likes of the Rangers, Pens, Flyers etc. - kindlyrick
Was this a joke? My sarcassam alarm isn't working so well today. |

It didn't...apparently the grievance was filed June 30. Everyone's just really dragging their feet letting info out and sorting this out because, well, I'm not sure why. |

Its baffling to me, that Garth and or the Ducks GM, did not realize that Viz had a no trade clause. This gives no meaning to them dropping the ball... - kindlyrick
Garth knew about it. He just figured he would use his awesome people skills on Vis and he would sign up |

You saying Snow will improve this team is absurd let alone via trade. What has he done to give you that impression? Your ticket broker and him telling you he would? They've been saying they would do anything they could to improve this team since day one. Have they? What makes this year different than last year where Snow stated himself it would be a failure if we didn't make the playoffs? |

Personally.... I think Vis thought he was going to get bought out, and already starting planning to play in Europe.
I hope he does get sent back to Anaheim... we get our second back, plus the Ducks second rounder for compensation. - jimmc7722
I actually think its Visnovsky looking to squeeze a few more dollars out of Anaheim. And I think it probably came from either his agent or possibly even the NHLPA. Right after the trade he said all the right things. If he wasn't willing to come here he would have started screaming about the NTC right off the bat. Now he can go to the Ducks and say "Hey, for a couple of hundred thou I'll waive." He's obviously not in their plans and who knows if they can make a deal with another team at this point. It'd probably be easier for them to just bite the bullet and do that rather than potentially be stuck with him and have to pay him his $3,000,000 salary and absorb his $5,600,000 cap hit. |

Garth shoulda packaged Okposo, Grabner, a d prospect (donovan or dehaan) and a pick and went after Rick Nash. The Rangers just added one of the best forwards in the game. |

He would have had to waive his NTC. Free Rickshaw rides from Garth might have gotten it done |

I dont disagree, it will be a great option. However, heres my question? How on earth is Wang going to make money moving the team to brooklyn? Even if they pack the place, he still doesnt own the facility and will have to share in profits. Yes its a new building, but is the earning potential really that great for the owner of the isles to move his team to someone elses arena? - kindlyrick
my assumption is that he won't move the team there unless the terms are favorable to him. From the Barclays standpoint, I don't see why they wouldn't do whatever was reasonable to get the Isles to commit. Any money the Isles bring into the Barclays is essentially found money for them. The possibility of landing a second anchor tenant for the building, guaranteeing another 41 dates of business for the building, is like a blessing for the Barclays. I'm sure the Barclays and Wang can come to an agreement on a solid revenue split that would be beneficial to both sides. Don't forget, Wang wouldn't have the overhead that he has with the NVMC if he were to be a tenant at the Barclays.
Is the Barclays a perfect solution? Probably not. Getting his own building in Nassau is the "best" deal for Wang. But, is the Barclays a better solution than being a "tenant" in Seattle, KC or Quebec? Probably. |

The first few years they were rebuilding. It wasnt until last year that they outright came out and spoke about improving the on ice product. Not sure if you have season tickets, but never has the ticket broker discussed the team like this. They've never fielded questions about the team or the spending. They brought it up to us. Just like Snow said we're done rebuilding, just like Wang said he wished the season would start tomorow. Hearing all this, you arent going to think theres a shred of truth? Call me naive, but I thought more would be done by this point. |

Nash would not have come here. Isles not on his list. The whole "list" thing is probably why the Rangers got him as cheaply as they did...took a lot of teams that would have been interested out of the running. |
