Call me when he gets fair market value for Bobby Lou. I just HATE how your fan base etc is throwing him under the bus. It's like Cory Schneider is God and losing to the B's in 2011 finals was his fault solely. PS I do like Vancouver but this disgusts me.

I doubt they'll get much of anything for Lou.

I thought that too.. Should have dropped more coin to get him.

You would think the 26-27M in 11 months, plus the 56-60M in four years, would of been enough. Have to give Nashville credit they had the stones to match.

A max yearly salary right? They could have had more money tied up in years 6-9 or however it was structured. Frankly the OS was a fair cap hit and Nashville is getting a good deal on that end.

Net result Nashville locks up their franchise for around the same cap hit as Ryan Suter who is 1/2 the player Weber is, and Flyers fans are left to lament what might have been.

I just read that Nashville signed Kostitsyn, so I guess they aren't in financial ruins.

Well....its the next day and I am still more disappointed than I thought I would be.

In reality the team is no different than before this all started, but Shea Weber, here for 14 seasons......my Gawd that would have been grand.

Seriously. It's more annoying than most free agent misses since he did want to come here. Didn't really care about Parise/Suter if they didn't want to be here.

The fact that it took them almost 6 days to make a decision is what hurts more. I believed the longer it went the better chance the Flyers had b/c Nashville couldn't come up with the money. Well they fooled me big time and kicked me in the nuts at the same time.

Well, with revenue sharing, they probably used money from the Flyers to sign Weber.

And while they were deciding, (they probably knew all along they would match) the Rags swooped in and got Rick Nash for a pile of poop.

I ONLY wanted Weber. None of the other signings (Parise, Suter)/trades(Ryan, Nash) are worth it to me and I would rather keep what we have.

But Weber was a break the bank/roster type player. Oh well..

After they pay that initial sum to Weber, the deal is actually very good. 7.8 cap hit for Weber in his prime is more than fair.

That also happened. Not sure if the Flyers wanted Nash though. I'm sure they had interest but I think they prefer Ryan.

If Ryan costs more in terms of talent going the other way, I would rather have Nash for the extra 2.5 million.

Weber will continue to be a MONSTER in Nashville.

No arguement there. However, Ryan is younger and cheaper. Will see what happens b/c I don't see Homer going into this season with the current roster. They pretty much missed on every big transaction and that can't sit well with him.

It doesn't sit well with Snider either I'm sure. Doan will make it 0-4.

I think Doan is doing his service of testing the market but I don't see him coming here to play. I could be wrong but I think he really wants to stay out West.

Then that would raise the Cap hit.
