One thing I learned this offseason, pretty much Coots and B. Schenn are untouchable along with G. I certainly expect big production from both players this season. Wouldn't mind seeing Voracek signing a multi-year deal.

I think perhaps that seeing how the organization planted their flag with these guys, the players will be that much more motivated to prove those who believed in them right. I know I would be.

I'm expecting that it'll work out just fine. Terrific move by the Rags.

I think you could be right, but this won't be the first big name to go there and die either.

Even though franchise defenseman are highly valued, franchise centers come right after them. We have three 1 giroux and 2 potentials. Homer knows this. Theres a lot to be happy with the flyers...

I think that was Cody franson, not weber
- isaiah520

Maybe Weber was someone's pipe dream or something. I hadn't paid a ton of attention to hockey the previous season or two for various reasons, so I didn't know who the real top prospects were at the time.

franson was very highly rated and I think he was preferred by homer, but parent was rated highly and NSH, of course, drafts and develops dmen so well.

That part of it is refreshing. Lots of solid young pieces. I'm chomping at the bit to lock up jake. If the rangers lock up doan. It would be unreal. We do not have forward size, grit to compete with that team

I think Yandle is better than Carle. He's got some holes defensively, but he's much better than Carle offensively.
- PLindbergh31

then prepare for more kickage because they play Nash on the 27th. (assuming no lock out)

I think Semin could score 40 if he played with G, but man does he have a real negative reputation in the league. I wonder if he had the same ability and age but was from Western Canada if the perception would be different?

I'm willing to give him a shot. Didn't seem like there were issues when he played for Hunter. For 3 years I don't think it be a total waste. He's a bankable 25 goals 30 something assists on that line. If he wanted to go to the K I think he'd be there by now. True I think his ethnicity has a stigma kind of a shame in this day and age.

Does the Nash trade at all affect the asking price for Ryan?

Agreed, I think he wants to stay in the NHL. This guy is treated like a cancer, his career +/- is on the favorable side. His best years came under the Boudreau's system, which was a two man forecheck. I think he would do well in Lava's system.

I'd only want to give up assets for d at this point, so semin at the right term/$$ might be worth it instead of pissing away an ELC like read and a dman we can't spare for Ryan.
