I think Homer needs to start looking into different trades because Weber is not coming. They are wasting time. The longer this goes on, the better our rivals get. Re-sign Vorachek and let's move on to camp - Deasr1
Why would he look into different trades? The worst thing that happens is Nashville matches the offer and Weber is there for at least one more year. |

Since the offer sheet they missed on Nash, who they might not have wanted. No need to panic, keep waiting patiently, answers right around the corner. |

Why would he wear a Flyers jersey when he along with his brother, Cooter, Laughton, Meszaros, Coburn and 4 1sts are headed to Nash.. - Hextall271

If stays Nashville won't go through all this malarky just to trade him next year. Where he goes he will stay for remainder of contract |

Eh.. The ball is in Nashville's court. Philly just sits back and waits, knowing how long said wait would probably be while Poile, the owners, and their kids are all counting the money they've made during their candy sales fundraiser over the last 6 days. - Flyskippy
it is Nashville, they have Crispy Creme fundraisers |

I figure Mr. Holmgren's calling Mr. Poile every hour asking, "Are we there yet?" but this induction is baseless. |

I think we are looking to deeply into this. Weber signed an OS with the Flyers. As of today he is 100% a Flyer. As an RFA the Preds. have the option to match by Wednesday at 11:30pm. Its that simple.
As an organization you didn't meet for the first time 36 hours till deadline to decide what to to do. The decision has been made months if not years ago. Nashville simple dosen't have cash on hand to through around.
If I were to guess, with The partnership that Polie and Homer have had this was a deal designed by both to allow all three parties to get what they need while saving face.
Flyers get a bona fide #1 Dman
Weber gets on a bona fide team able to pay to win
Preds get to place blame on Powerhouse team and walk away with picks.
If anyone thinks the Nashville owners and Polie were stuned and needed 5 days to clear there heads that there number 1 dman was given an offer sheet are kidding themselves. They tried for two years to lock him and others up but are not in a position to do so. This meeting today is about saving face- only! IMO - Keep Your Head Up
I think it's a mistake to think that this was a pre meditated deal to get what they need, between the two sides. The Flyers sending an Offer sheet was a direct response to not getting a deal worked out. And it was predatory in nature.
And NAshville absolutely need to meet and look at all the projections to decide how they wanted to proceed.
And until the Preds decide to not match, or make a deal with the FLyers. Weber is 0% a Flyers.

Precisely. Mr. Holmgren accomplished what he intended: Shea Weber will either be a Flyer or Predator next season, assuring that he will not be anywhere else in the East. In a year, they can talk trade again if NSH matches. |

Only thing we know for certain is Mr Weber is getting paid, no matter where he ends up.
He should take the Flyers out to dinner or something if Nashville matches. |

Agreed. That's why I been on record saying let them match. You can't be afraid of losing Weber. Homer has done a really nice job keeping him away from other teams. It's basically come to Philly or stay in Nashville. |
