Except you're not dealing with Howson here. I think the Nash deal does put more pressure on Homer. I don't see Nashville doing any trade that does not include one of Coots or B Schenn.

The flip side of that is that Howson was free to market RN to any team he'd be willing to go to (about 5 or 6 teams, as I recall.) Poile can't turn around and offer Shea Weber to another team; the only way he can involve any other team in this is if he chooses not to match and offers Flyer 1sts to them for something. That severely limits his options, and return, if he isn't authorized to match the sheet.

Their you have it. Weather or not you'd like to beleive in it, there is a greater then likely chance that the Preds will match the thing where the Flyers offer sheeted Weber. Its probable that the Flyers focus on a player cheaper then Weber, perhaps Ryan. This begs the question, when will this happen?

Since we're correctings things: Does anyone the difference between "then" and "than"? I've seen things like "Schenn is better THEN Coots" It's "THAN Coots"! Than is used in comparisons. Notwithstanding my prissy then/then criticism, I just love the fact that we've turned "offer sheet" into a verb. Weber was "offer sheeted". So cool!
