Every GM knows the Islanders situation and they can't obtain players unless it's through drafting or trading so every team asks the Islanders for more. The only way the Islanders obtain quality through trade is to overpay.

Exactly. At this stage I could care less if he can walk in three years. I'm willing to give up a lot for him. I cannot take the Isles playing dead much longer.

Lets not blame the fans. We as fans have supported this team for years. Wang can not expect sellouts with the team he gives us year after year. Nobody wants to pay for a losing team. And we as fans deserve better. Same story every year when is someone going to take accountability.

I hear you but Wang as the owner can step in and tell Snow to get a better coach or again fire Snow if he is not happy. I have no doubt Snow does not want a bigger name coach to overshadow him.

What was the #'s from the vote to build the new arena? 70% to 30%

The people there don't want the team, the jobs, to get their economy going.

So the team will move, and the people will pay the extra taxes.

Where's the proof they won't?

I agree with a lot of this post. The poitics of LI are absurd no matter which side of the fence you are on. I unfortunately agree with the moving the team part. Not due to the fan base but due to Wang. Him owning this team is 100% of the reason for their woes. Nothing else, thats where you are wrong.

Just look back to the mid to late seventies early eighties and nineties. You couldn't buy a ticket to an Islander game. One of if not most expensive tickets in the NHL. Not true. This has everything to do with the team, owner, and bozo of a gm we have that assembled this mess.
