Evander Kane sounds so much like a superhero's alter ego.

By day, he is one of hockey's young stars, but at night he is..

I'm kidding. I like the Fedetenko signing. Still a useful player. Gervais I didn't understand but he could pitch in if needed.

Could definitely fill in the much-needed scapegoat role.

Yeah, not bad. Just making friends and enemies all over the internets. Same as usual. I took a few days off at the end of June to go away for our anniversary.

My son is enjoying the summer more, though, what with being able to sleep in, not go anywhere, play outside, play with his action figures, Xbox, Star Wars online game, etc. So jealous...

How's your summer?

- Flyskippy

Takes after his dad I guess eh?

The anniversary sounds nice. I've managed to get away a few times for camping, and rented a canoe. Nothing too crazy on my budget but I cant handle the city for too long. Still got a little bit of potato farmer in me you know? Haha, but yeah its been good. Got another speeding ticket last week though.

No way Skip. When a player doesn't come with expectations, hard to make them a scapegoat.

Hey, they were my action figures first!

You're a real Luke Skywalker. Stuck where you don't want to be, dreaming of piloting a fast vehicle despite the local entanglements.

I've stated it before, but honestly cannot wait for Weber to make his first big mistake, or have a few bad games in a row.

If the Flyers get him that is.

I like Meszaros, I'm hoping he stays, but he might be damaged goods. Came this far for Weber, as long as Schenn or Couturier aren't traded I will be ok with a trade. I still believe Nashville has no intention of matching.

Flyers are working on that. Here is the Detroit model they're looking to mimic:

Kind of agree. I think the intention is there, just not the means. They cannot afford it - or they'll be looking for another owner to join the ranks or another ownership group to take over.

Or, the NHL could just up and take over 10% of the teams at that point (NSH, NJD, PHX).

Weber for 4 1st round picks. Wow. Who would thought that? Of course all based on them not matching.
