Dreger said that trade offer was BEFORE the offer sheet. Irrelevant now with clock ticking to final 48 hours.

I suspect they won't have to match. I have a feeling Holmgren is going to cave and trade a package for Weber. I bet Nashville gets a better deal than Columbus just got, while having no intentions of matching all along.

Stay positive, Homer is legit under pressure

Homer is a G, but I still feel Weber isn't coming here.

Yup... Especially because multiple teams have legit interest still.

even if it did go up...does anyone think we can nab Ryan (pending a no-Weber debacle) with young top 6 ISH forwards NOT named Couturier or Schenn and NOT limiting our defensive depth and a first rounder?

Possibly, but I would not give up what it will likely take to get him.

I still believe they will have financial trouble to match this offer long term. They will be strapped if they just match.

For a player that wants to leave and is a UFA in 1 year? Count your blessings, Pred. That's a decent offer.

Well, yes, but Poile would have to turn that offer down.

it makes more sense to me to give up voracek then read.same offensive output and a third of the price nashville needs salary.is there any way philly can get both weber and ryan?do the salaries work?if this can happen would be a great summer, but my gut is telling me nashville matches

I think we get Weber, Nashville owners will tell Poile not to match, because in the end it is all about the $$$

If we are to get Weber for the 4 first round picks... is it possible the Flyers turn around and trade a d-man+ for Bobby Ryan?

Lil 3-way deal action with Flyers/Ducks/Preds?

I give them a lot of credit, always going for it.
First the Pronger deal, then trading Carter and Richards, and now Weber.
Never a dull moment for Flyers fans.
