first!
As a Hawks fan I am pretty sure that the team they have now will be on the ice the opening night I think Rocky should clean house, not of players, but get some hockey people in to run this team, not a baseball PR man |

Heatly in Boston?
No thanks
We've had our lifetime fill of irresponsible forwards who accidentally kill people, which is why MacTavish is never welcomed back with open arms.
But Yandle? I like Yandle |

can't see Minnesota trading Backstrom..... or even Heatley at this point.
Minnesota wanted to throw the big money around to be a top team, so moving depth and particularly the reason that even keeps them in games in Backtrom out the window doesn't seem real logical at this point.
Can't see Parise/Suter being happy to sign there only to have that happen. |

If the wild want to Win, trade Heatley over rated and gutless, just my 2 cents, cant see him being part of a cup winning team |

As a huge Minnesota wild fan I also don't see the wild trading backstrom but what most people know is the wild not only have harding, but also have top young goalies like gustavson and hackett who will be the starters someday anyways. The only way the wild make the trade is if its for nash( that being said obviously nash would have waive his no-trade clause which before the parise sutter signings I would have said no way, but now? The thought of playing with parise and koivu may make him at least think about) and I would be very upset to see backstrom go especially if its not for an instant team improvement the wild have to much young talent. I wouldn't doubt heatley thought. Heatley, backstrom and a prospect for nash if he would accept. |

The one guy who is going to come out of this looking good will be Howsen. He has stared everyone down. Sather is about to fold as we all knew that he would. Howsen will have his way with the Ranger player he wants. The only guy who routinely gets suckered into taking players on the downside of their careers is Sather. How many guys can you put on the list? Lindros, Gomez, Redden, Drury and on and on. Soon you will be able to add Nash. But when he gives up a future star like Krieder (which he will) people should stand up and say, enough! |
