Trade Rumors/Weekend Rundown |
|

|
Just some quick hits from around the league this week, preparing the coverage for the back to back weekend and first road game of the year. What are your thoughts on the rumors below being heard around the league regarding the players in or out of Columbus?
Jack Roslovic
Reporter Lyle Richardson is saying that they’re expecting a contending team to acquire him around the deadline. Contending teams might bite at the deadline for retained salary at a mid round pick, but don’t see much coming back more than a third. His career has sadly not been what many thought, and hasn’t lived up to it at home. Still being sat with a new coach at multimillion bucks, c’mon.
Roslovic for Garland?
Andrew Peeke/Adam Boqvist/Jake Bean
Vancouver reportedly has interest Peeke’s services, per David Pagnotta of the Fourth Period.
Rumors from Frank Severalli are they’re looking to move one of him, Peeke, or Jake Bean.
Since the Werenski injury, it has gone quiet. Of the 3, Boqvist is the youngest and has most upside. Peeke has proven the most minutes. Bean is the lefty.
I wouldn’t move any of them. Sure, most of the depth has played and it will save some money, but let them develop and get the best minutes in Cleveland.
Connor Garland
Columbus has been interested for a while. Just kiss. Or don’t. It’s been shown several times publicly the interest in his services year.
The last time they had a player like him was Max Domi/Josh Anderson. A tenacious in your first player but is a smaller forward better for his goal production.
Garland and Gallagher have been linked to Columbus in the past, and Pagnotta is reporting the Jackets; Caps; Hawks; Preds; and Canes are interested.
Friedman also reported Columbus is in on Garland this week.
