Noah Dobson dealt to Montreal with a guaranteed 8 year extension at $9.5M AAV per season in exchange for forward Emil Heineman, and both of their first round picks this evening; #16 and #17 (originally from the Monahan trade).

📝Contract Extensions

John Tavares extended with Toronto 4 years by $4.38M AAV.

Brandon Saad finalized in Vegas one year $2M

William Lagesson extended in Detroit 2 years by $775K

Trent Frederic extension - No shock to anyone that this happened; it just finally got registered at 8 years by $3.85M… Bowman views him as the Kane replacement.

Columbus extends forward Hunter McKown to a one year, two way deal.

Vancouver finalizing a 6 year $36M extension on F Connor Garland.

San Jose extends pending RFA G Gabriel Carriere to 2 way deal worth $795K

Connor Brown to free agency; former Leafs' pick also skated with Sens and Caps before first trip to Cup Finals with Oilers. Also expecting to depart is Klingberg.

Dallas eyeing former coach Glen Gulutzan as next head coach.

BUF: Bo Byram could be moved this weekend; Vancouver and Philadelphia in the mix. Pitt may package Rust in a move. Vegas, Colorado, LA involved. UPL may be on the move per Friedman.

EDM: Nurse overnight rumors of Nurse to Pittsburgh. Skinner could be moved for a clear replacement goalie.

NYI: Dobson trade race down to Columbus, St. Louis, and his preferred destination, Montreal. Seeking to draft BOTH Scheaffer and Hagens tonight.

CGY: Andersson - Ottawa, Vegas, Columbus, Dallas, Boston, Montreal in the running.

Utah: Open to moving 4th overall pick

VAN: Open to moving 15th overall; Silovs could be traded despite backing AHL club to first ever Calder Cup.

PIT: Rust connected to Buffalo and Columbus per Friedman; Karlsson wants a contender and Pens willing to retain salary. Florida, Wings, Flyers, Sens reunion? Maybe Canes.

DAL: Robertson and NJ could be a marriage. Sens; Canes; Ducks; Wings, Jackets in mix.

MIN: Guerin holding high price for Rossi; Rossi wants guaranteed first line minutes

NYR: K'Andre Miller could be dealt over the weekend

NSH: Marchessault could move on from Preds after big splash last summer.

ANA: Gibson connected to Oilers and Jackets.

TOR: Reilly/Carlo rumored to be on the market. Can't see how either get moved in Treliving's system. Robertson back on the block.

STL: Spector Hockey linking Faulk or Parayko to Habs to help Huston on top pair.

VGK - Cap causalities may include Hertl, Karlsson, Hauge. Barbashev and Roy also on the table.

CBJ: Organization lost faith in Tarasov and Merzlikins. Tarry traded to Cats yesterday; Merzlikins could be next whether it is trade or buyout. Pagnotta reporting Voronkov available via trade. Don't love that.

MTL: Dvorak could be moved over the draft; rumor on the table is Mailloux and both firsts for Dobson.

SEA: McCann connected to Canucks; Rangers; Senators

👀Free Agent Rumors

Kane - DET leads; but rumors this morning suggest Minnesota, Toronto, Columbus, LA, Montreal

Marchand - while leaning to go back to Florida, the Stars and Leafs may look. A Boston reunion is in the air.

Ekblad - most likely to not return with Jones as the replacement, Utah, Detroit, Toronto, Columbus, Dallas involved. San Jose and Carolina are lurking.

Marner - Vegas leads this all the way; however, Los Angeles, Anaheim, and San Jose are looking. Carolina and Columbus are dark horses. Dallas may be in if Roberston moves.

Ehlers - told Winnipeg he will test the open market, but not close the door on a return. Wants a quieter market with Carolina and Columbus leading.

Boeser: Minnesota, Ottawa, Columbus, Winnipeg, Edmonton in on this. Boeser and Stecher are best friends.

Gavrikov: All signs point to New York in a reunion with Panarin.

Provorov: Despite younger brother committing to Ohio State, may also be headed to Broadway.

Granlund: Toronto, St. Louis, Montreal

Suter: Won't be back with Canucks after Kane trade.

Allen: Los Angeles, Philadelphia want goalie upgrade. Is the top goalie hitting market.

Lindgren: Testing the market after Avs added him at the deadline; Columbus and Boston.

Mangipanie: Leaving Washington; Jackets, Leafs, Jets, Oilers, Bruins, Kraken.

Dummolin: Reportedly seeking 3 years by $4M per season

Atkinson: Informed Bolts he is going to market; still lives in Columbus

Perbix: Will also test free agency.

Vladar: Sharks eyeing the goalie

Samsonov: Testing free agency

Kuznetsov: Terminated KHL deal in hopes of NHL return

Gregor: Not receiving Q/O from San Jose
