CBJ Mood Monday - FRUSTRATED |
|
|
|
That is the sentiment from the post game pressers as the Columbus Blue Jackets have sunk to the basement of the Eastern Conference.
At the time of writing this article, only four teams in the league have four wins - Columbus; Calgary; Edmonton; and San Jose. While 12 points keeps them ahead of Chicago and Nashville in the league standings, and tied with Minnesota and Ottawa; those four teams have more wins or fewer games played.
Speaking of 12, the Blue Jackets’ goals against is a -12, the only team in the East with a negative goal differential in the double digits; on a team that added defensive depth this summer with Ivan Provorov and Damon Severson while sitting Adam Boqvist and Andrew Peeke for the rookie David Jiricek to play 8-13 minutes a game.
The Columbus Blue Jackets lost a series of back-to-back games with travel in Detroit and New York City this weekend. This five skid is their longest of the season.

This skid cannot continue. Where is the coach and management to pay for the mistakes? The top guys are cold or injured. The top prospects are in the minors.
There are four games this week for the Jackets with a back to back and three games in division - Pittsburgh, Arizona, in Washington, in Philadelphia. No rest during the road to Thanksgiving. This will answer the future of the rest of the season.
Changes must come to get the guys going. Action must happen. This is not acceptable. The frustration is real. More is coming….
