The Columbus Blue Jackets conclude their final multi game home series of the seasoning facing John Tortorella and Cam Atkinson of the Philadelphia Flyers for the last time this season.

The season series split is 2-1 for the Flyers. Jackets look to even it out at home.

Since they last met, the Flyers lost their starting goaltender; dealt their top rental defender; and acquired a cup winner. With that, they brought in Ryan Johansen and a first round pick. The cup is Erik Johnson, who was moved by Buffalo.

The Flyers also recently acquired both their Russian goaltenders to help with the playoff race. Ivan Fedetov, at 6 foot 7 inches tall is the new starter as Samuel Ersson and Felix Sandstrom compete for the backup. Cal Petersen remains with Leigh High Valley.

Philadelphia is in the mix for the second wild card playoff spot with the New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils, Washington Capitals, Detroit Red Wings, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Buffalo Sabres. Two of these teams will make it.

They are coming in off a back to back after playing in Buffalo last night in a losing effort.

Columbus has the chance to mess up their season by winning the first game of their back to back; they’re final one of the season. They have been dealing with the sick and injury bug while captain Boone Jenner is out mourning the loss of his stillborn. Daniil Tarasov is out after getting hurt in the first against the Islanders. Malcom Subban will back up in his CBJ debut. Jake Bean is also done for the year. Nick Blankenburg is back on the main roster with Jiricek.
