AHL
The Cleveland Monsters split a home stand with the Syracuse Crunch
Friday night, they were shut out 5-0. 4 of the goals game in the first 31 minutes. Gabriel Dumont, Habs and Wild legend, had the game winner. Pavel Cajan had 15 saves on 16 shots; Jet Greaves had 13 saves on 17 shots. Hugo Alnefelt stopped all 35 shots.

Foudy
Liam Foudy was claimed off waivers Friday afternoon by the Nashville Predators to make room for the returning Mathieu Olivier and Zach Werenski.
Nashville picks up a promising middle six potential forward reuniting with London teammate Luke Evangelista.
Andersson
Got what he deserved. A last second hit on an NHL star talent will get you. Sad it didn’t happen to Hathaway the same.
Injuries
Laine - Is out at least a week
Chinakov - Is practicing with the team. Expect a conditioning stint for the first rounder.
Tarasov - Is on the ice with the boys. I also feel a condition stint coming before they carry a trio and waive Martin.
Butler - Is on SOIR.
Rumors on Garland/Roslovic/Defense cont.
Garland doesn’t want out of Vancouver , but management wants him out. My gut thinks Islanders despite the Jackets, Bruins, Preds, and Canes being in .
Roslovic is playing like he wants to stay. Management isn’t loving a $4M contract on the fourth line.
Peeke is on the most friendly deal with term where Boqvist and Bean are the young guns that have the better chance of departure.
CBJ G5 v Anaheim Ducks - Frozen Frenzy
Courtesy of ESPN and Hockey is Awesome, interval start time is being hosted by John Buccigross of ESPN in their Frozen Frenzy program tonight for the Ducks and Blue Jackets. Puckdrop is at 6:30.
The Ducks are heavy and slow and that is showing in their start .
IN
Alex Killorn signed for the money along with former Bolt teammates Radko Gudas and Trevor Carrick.
Ilya Lyubushkin was acquired via trade from Buffalo.
Ross Johnston was claimed off waivers from the Islanders .
Andrew Agozinno was acquired via trade from San Jose.
Robert Hagg signed as a free agent.
Alex Stalock joined as the third stringer.
OUT
Andrej Sustr was the return for Agozinno.
Axel Anderson and Olle Eriksson Ek were left unrestricted.
Simon Benoit was left unrestricted and signed with Toronto.
Maxim Comtois was also left unrestricted and signed with Henderson.
Anthony Stolarz joined Florida.
Kevin Shattenkirk and Jayson Megna signed with Boston.
Chase Priskie signed with Hershey.
Derek Grant signed in Europe.
Michael Del Zotto retired. Columbus legend. Torts lover.
This is a 2022-23 rematch of the two worst teams in their respective conferences. So far, it is not that way. Both are young and have rookie coaches. The Ducks have Greg Cronin, who was with the AHL Colorado Eagles last season.
Also, Leo Carlsson and Adam Fantilli debate begins tonight.
