Thanks to the Columbus Blue Jackets trading Jonathan Quick to the Vegas Golden Knights in exchange for Michael Hutchinson and a 2025 7th round draft pick, he has become a three time Stanley Cup.

A 2017 first round pick and the contract of David Clarkson insured the Golden Knights the acquisition of Wild Bill William Karlsson.

After a series of trades beginning with his time in Columbus, Jonathan Marchessault wins his first Stanley Cup, being the only undrafted player aside Wayne Gretzky to win the Conne Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP.

Keegan Kolesar was traded for a 2017 second round pick, giving Columbus Alexandre Texier, and Kolesar his first ever Stanley Cup.

CBJ Player Profile - Kirill Dolzhenkov

The Columbus Blue Jackets selected the Russian tank in power forward Kirill Dolzhenkov from the KHL in the fourth round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. This concludes the player profile reflection of the 2022 draft.

Dolzhenkov, 19, stands at 6’ 6” tall towering his competition.

He has been in development with CSKA Moskva since 2017. He has been struggling with the top level in the KHL, but dominates his age and developmental levels.

He had 45 points in 50 games in the MHL and 3 points in 4 playoffs games.

He can easily be a top nine forward. With players on Vegas going to all big players above 6 foot aside Marchessault and Kessel, players like him will need to be pushed harder to make it but will succeed.
