The Columbus Blue Jackets and the NHL are continuing their workings on getting an outdoor game at the Buckeye Stadium in downtown Columbus.

The rumor is it will be against Detroit to do a professional version of Ohio State v Michigan and get the Original Six ratings.

Columbus and Detroit’s major history comes from their time in the Central Division of the Western Conference, and the Jackets’ first ever playoff opponent.

This is one the biggest stadiums the league has yet to enter when it comes to outdoor hockey.

When this goes through, this will be a massive victory for the city. This will be the biggest city hockey event since the All Star Game a decade ago.

Columbus Unwilling to Move the Captain

According to Chris Johnston of the Athletic and TSN, the organization is not willing to move forward Boone Jenner, despite the calls coming in around the league.

The All Star representative has been getting attention around the league from some of the top teams in the league in his best years of his career.

Edmonton is leading the way, but Colorado and Toronto had interest earlier in the year. The list here is continuing to grow for who is calling.

List of players available remains the same from previous weeks.

First game back after the All Star game is tomorrow.
