Hawks Sending Four To Team Canada |

The last few months of Blackhawks Hockey have been hard to watch and have given us very little to look forward to. However, we are now halfway through the month of December and finally we have something to get excited about. No, it has nothing to do with the actual Hawks team, but more so the future of this organization, and that is the World Junior Championship. The WJC is a Christmas tradition like none other where we get to watch the very best U-20 hockey players in the world. Some that are already drafted while others its the coming out party for the upcoming draft.
Today Hockey Canada announced their roster and the Hawks will be represented well as they will have 4 prospects rocking the Maple Leaf in 14 days.
Forward Colton Dach, Defensemen Kevin Korchinski, Nolan Allen, and Ethan Del Mastro all have the honor of joining this stacked Canadian team.
How are these guys looking so far this season? Here is a quick breakdown of their stats
Colton Dach (Kelowna Rockets) 14GP 9 goals 8 assists 17 points
Kevin Korchinski (Seattle Thunderbirds) 21GP 3 Goals 25 Assists 28 Points
Nolan Allan (Prince Albert Raiders/Seattle Thunderbirds) 23GP 5 Goals 9 Assists 14 Points
Ethan Del Mastro (Mississauga Steelheads) 22GP 2 goals 19 assists 21 points
All four of these prospects are having very good seasons and its going to be exciting to see what they can do on the big stage that is the World Juniors. I know personally I am going to keep my eye on both Korchinski and Del Mastro as they were two of the prospects that impressed me the most this past training camp. I also expect them to get a decent amount of playing time for Team Canada.
Two other names to watch are the big prizes for the 2023 Entry Draft, Connor Bedard, and Adam Fantilli. I don’t think I have to do much to sell you all on these two as they have been putting on absolute shows in their respective leagues. If you are still not sure if the tank job is worth it, do yourself a favor and watch as many of these games as possible and see for yourself that there are two franchise changers on the board this summer.
