New Jersey's camp roster has shrunk by four, as they've announced Reid Boucher, Stefan Matteau, Seth Helgeson and Keith Kinkaid are heading to Albany.

None of them had to clear waivers to be sent down, which likely factored into the decision to send them down.

The Devils take on the Rangers tonight in what will be their last tuneup before the regular season begins next week.

For the most part, what you see in tonight's lineup is what you'll see next week when the Devils open their season October 9th against the Flyers.

Expected lines (via Tom Gulitti):

Mike Cammalleri - Travis Zajac - Jaromir Jagr
Martin Havlat - Patrik Elias - Dainius Zubrus
Ryane Clowe - Adam Henrique - Michael Ryder
Tuomo Ruutu - Stephen Gionta - Jordin Tootoo

Andy Greene - Jon Merrill
Bryce Salvador - Adam Larsson/Damon Severson
Eric Gelinas - Damon Severson/Adam Larsson

Cory Schneider
Scott Clemmensen

The top-9 the Devils are going with has been pretty consistent throughout the preseason, so I think that's what they intend to start the season with.

The 4th line is really a mixed bag right now. Depending on what Lou Lamoriello does to cut down to 13 or 14 forwards from the 20 right now could drastically impact how Pete DeBoer utilizes those guys. If he wants to go with four scoring lines, we could see something like Ruutu - Jacob Josefson - Damien Brunner, but trading one of them doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility.

This will be Tootoo's last chance to earn a contract from the Devils, while it's also Severson's last opportunity to try and force his way onto the team.

The Devils have to trim their roster by nine by Tuesday at 5 p.m. and what happens in this game could impact who they decide to keep and who to cut.
