The press conference by the Blackhawks on Tuesday, the Kyle Beach interview on Wednesday, and the statements made by Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane are just the tip of the iceberg with what is still yet to be learned about the investigation and the impact on those involved.

While I won't use space to speculate, below is a list of additional news that will or are at least expected to come out in the coming days and weeks. And as the series of tweets below illustrate, the aftermath is already starting to unfold and continue shaking the hockey world.

* Settlement between the Blackhawks and Beach
* Statements by other players (current and former)
* Hiring of a permanent general manager
* Status of Hawks head coach Jeremy Colliton
* Team chemistry and impact on roster construction

Then there are inquiries by the league, media, fans, and general public about who also knew but didn't act whether that includes ownership, management, coaches, and players not just with the Blackhawks but also the IceHogs during that period of time.

Beyond the investigation, something else to keep an eye on are the structural and cultural changes for how the organization functions as a sports team as well as a business in terms of care, safety, and well-being of all employees which includes the players.

Roster Moves

Isaak Phillips is competitive in all zones. Defensively, he uses a long wing span to clog lanes and disrupt the action. Despite his willingness to battle in the corners and slot, he has more to give if he uses his strength and flexes his muscles a little more.

Offensively, Phillips likes to join the rush with his speed and agility but needs to learn how to pick his spots better so he doesn't get caught too deep. Once set up at the point, he has a wicked shot that he unleashes in a hurry and keeps low for teammates.

The Blackhawks hit the road again with a game in Raleigh to face the undefeated Hurricanes (6-0-0). Puck drops at 6:00pm CDT. Tomorrow the Hawks will head back to the Midwest for a match in St. Louis versus the Blues (5-1-0).

Thoughts & Notes

* Jacob LeGuerrier made his IceHogs debut and turned in a steady game being defensive minded, staying back, battling down low, pinning along the boards, and making simple safe plays.

* Nicolas Beaudin was fairly solid on defense when he applied himself consistently and patrolled responsibly but he's slow so easy to beat with speed and elbow grease.

* Alex Nylander continued to impress with more hustling and backchecking; while not perfect at it, the effort is much better and quite noticeable.

* Dylan McLaughlin was shifty and elusive, very slick with the puck and willing to get back to support defensively.

* Chad Krys and Evan Barratt appear to still be on injured reserve.

* The Hogs and Stars are back at it with a rematch Saturday evening in Cedar Park, Texas.
