Tomorrow the semi finals of this year’s world hockey championship takes place, but already the trio of Flyers representing Canada have been among the best players in the tournament.

Konecny, Forster and Sanheim all scored yesterday versus host team Sweden and Konecny was awarded player of the game…. It’s important to remember who else is on this team. Sid Crosby, Nathan, McKinnon, and Macklin Celabrini to start….

Yesterday saw Foerster playing with Sid and Mack, while Konecny played with McKinnon. Neither looked out of place and both were relied on for two a play down the stretch as Canada was holding the lead.

It feels like TK is making a strong case to be the guy who fills Brad Marchand‘s place on the Olympic team next year. And Sanheinm continues the show why he belongs as one of Canada‘s top six defenseman..

Tomorrow on the NHL network and TSN you’ll get to see Canada play again as the quarterfinals begin. Canada will have an easy battle with Denmark featuring Nikolai Ehlers, and not much else… team USA will have a very tough battle against Finland… who actually beet Canada in the preliminaries.
