Happy Devils Thanksgiving!

What a wild finish to last night’s game!

The New Jersey Devils gained a point after losing in the shootout to the Minnesota Wild 3-2.

Before the game even started, the Minnesota Wild were galavanting in the city and then got stuck in traffic because of the Holland Tunnel was closed and had to take the scenic tour to get to the Prudential Center. Delayed the start of the game by nearly a half an hour.

“In my opinion, it’s a little irresponsible on their part,” Devils coach Lindy Ruff said.

And I agree.

How do you not know that Thanksgiving eve is one of the biggest traffic jams of the year? Especially when Wild GM Bill Guerin used to live in the area when playing for the Devils.

How come the Wild did not get penalized for their stupidity? If there was ever a reason to give a delay of game penalty before puck drop, it would be this one.

Sharangovich At Center

Yegor Sharangovich is finding himself on the score sheet when moving to center than being at the wing. He plays better and seems to be more comfortable to freestyle and more room to operate. Glad to see him in a better position to succeed as his confidence is growing after a disastrous start to the season production-wise.

All Good Things Come To An End

Devils AHL affiliate Utica Comets got their first loss of the season to the Rochester Americans 4-2 as they are now 13-1-0 on the season. Alexander Holtz and Marian Studenic scored for the Comets.
