There it is. The Seattle Kraken.
I like it. Wasn’t my first choice for team name (Sasquatch) or color scheme (green/yellow), but Seattle is coming into the league totally unique in name and color scheme and that deserves a thumbs up. I heard rumors of black and red which would have been so uninspired. Kraken as a name is fine. Kraken as marketing potential is awesome.
Having this mythical beast as your team name opens up a ton of possibilities with the majority being very cool. Here are their jersey:
Unique. They are their own brand. Personally, I though going green and yellow would have been great because of the Sonics and the fact the NHL does not have a green and yellow color scheme, but this is sharp, too.
Will the arena be the Krak House? Are the fans Krak heads? We’ll soon find out.

Green and yellow would have been sharp.
All in all it was a job well done by Seattle. They will sell a ton of merchandise. They don’t look like any other team. Their team name is one of a kind. Impressive.
