Pavel Francouz will make his second career NHL start Saturday when the Avalanche face Tampa Bay in their second game in as many nights.
GAME NOTES.
Nathan MacKinnon scored in overtime and
Philipp Grubauer made 40 saves in the Avalanche’s 5-4 win against Florida on Friday. MacKinnon, who was listed as questionable because of a sore leg, has at least one point in each of Colorado’s seven games with four goals and six assists.
Andre Burakovsky has seven points (four goals, three assists) in the past five games.
The Avalanche, who overcame 2-0 and 3-1 deficits Friday, are 2-0-1 on the road trip and 6-0-1 overall.
FRIDAY RECAP
The Lightning will be a tough one for the Avalanche, who are playing a difficult opponent on the road in the second game of a back-to-back set.
Francouz had 34 saves in his first start a week ago, a 3-2 overtime win against Arizona at the Pepsi Center in the final game of a four-game homestand.
