Robby Fabbri, the Blues 1st round pick in the 2014 NHL entry draft, was injured today during Canada's game against the Czech Republic at the under 20's friendlies tournament. He was obliterated at center ice by Czech defender, Marek Baranek.

There were quite a few scrums after this hit after, including Phoenix's prospect Max Domi going after the Czech players. This is a summer development tournament and is widely known as a friendly tournament. Needless to say, after the injury to Aaron Ekblad and now Fabbri, Canadian players clearly were not happy.

After the game, Gord Miller tweeted an update on Fabbri.

TOP FIVE GAMES FROM 2013-14

Today we're breaking down the top ten games from the 2013-14 season and playoffs. Now these are opinion based so if you disagree, by all means, tell me yours!

No. 5 - Blues Dominate Florida 7-0

The Blues dominated this game from start to finish. They lit up Tim Thomas for five goals in the first two periods, including a penalty shot goal by Alexander Steen. Jacob Markstrom replaced Thomas in the third and let in goals by Ryan Reaves and Patrik Berglund in the third period. Easily the Blues most dominant performance of the season.

No. 4 - Oshie's Hat Trick Against The Wild

T.J. Oshie netted his first career hat trick this season against the Minnesota Wild just days after his first child, Lyla Grace, was born. Oshie scored twice in the first period, his second of the period being a short handed goal. His third goal came in the third period by tipping in a Jay Bouwmeester point shot. Brenden Morrow and Jaden Schwartz both scored as well as the Blues beat the Wild 5-1.

No. 3 - Blues Shutout The Kings 5-0 In January

Anytime the Blues beat the Kings, it's always fun for Blues fans. With the Blues struggles against California teams this season, a 5-0 shutout was needed for the Blues. This game included a rare goal from defensive defensemen, Barret Jackman. Vladimir Tarasenko also scored and celebrated by spinning on his knees. Brendan Morrow and T.J. Oshie (2) also scored. Brian Elliott registered the shutout.

No. 2 - Tarasenko Late Goal, Jackman OT Winner

Game two of the playoffs, the Blues showed great determination when Vladimir Tarasenko tied the game with just 6.4 seconds left in the game. Tarasenko slid out into the high slot, and fired a quick wrist shot past the glove of Corey Crawford. Barret Jackman would eventually score the game winning goal just 5:50 into overtime. The Scottrade Center erupted as the Blues took won their last game of the playoffs.

No. 1 - Steen Scores Triple Overtime Winner

Game one of the playoffs, the Blues opened the scoring with a net front goal by now L.A. King, Adam Cracknell. Two goals by the Hawks put the Blues in a 2-1 hole before Vladimir Tarasenko tied the game after a beautiful set up by Kevin Shattenkirk. Patrick Kane scored again late in the first to give the Hawks a 3-2 lead.

Jaden Schwartz eventually tied the game with 1:45 to go in the game and the game went to overtime. Then they went to a second overtime. Then they finally went to a third overtime.

Then on the first shift of the third overtime, Alexander Steen put a shot on goal that deflected off a Hawk's defender and went behind the net. David Backes gave a quick pass to Steve Ott in front of the net, who beautifully set up Steen who buried the puck behind Crawford to give the Blues a huge game one victory.

Sadly, as Blues fans, you know how that series ended, and with a new season and quite a few new faces this up coming season, the Blues hope to avenge the four straight losses this season.
