When you own a dog, in the winter you send them out into the backyard for them to do their business. In spring the snow melts and the doggie doo is still there. A big icey mess. That's basically what the Leafs were on Tuesday night. A pile of doggie doo on ice.
How do you play that bad in a home game of that magnitude? Who's responsible?
The Leafs outshot Ottawa 29-19 Tuesday, but not many of the shots were scoring chance worthy. Toronto had very little in the way of disrupting Ullmark. The team that has won the shot battle in the series is now 0-4 (one game even)
Is it panic time? oh is it ever, even though the Leafs still have the series lead and a game 7 hammer advantage. Since their game four OT extended power play they've not shown any offensive prowess.
So what are the Leafs going to do in game 6? Line up changes? I don't think so, who would you put in? Toronto just needs to skate and take it to Ottawa, circa Game 1 when the Leafs dominated.
It's been 4+ periods since the Leafs last scored and 40 shots.
Toronto better run riot in game 6 or the doggie doo on ice will pile up more for game 7.
