It wasn't a great Saturday for us as we ended up on the losing end. With only 1 game on Sunday, I'm going to take the day off betting on the NHL as we have 8 games on Monday and due to Martin Luther King Day, a bunch of afternoon tilts.
Last night the toughest loss was the Sharks losing to Pittsburgh as they absolutely dominated the Pens but found a way to lose in OT with their 3rd goalie on the depth chart in goal. The Pens looked exhausted, this road is definitely taking its toll on them and I will be hammering Vegas on Monday night! Road teams had a small edge with 7 of 13 games but 9 of 13 games went under the total. Favs were an incredible 12-1, with Ottawa as the only dog winning! First period overs were 8-4-1 and as you continue to see a lot of scoring early on in games, but then teams clamp down defensively.
VAN/WSH - 2pm EST - The Caps are -179 and not worth laying that kind of juice but the Canucks have now lost 3 in a row after their 10 day break. WSH snapped their 4 game losing streak in NYI yesterday. I lean to the under 6 in this one.
