Rough day is an understatement! Capping the way the NHL is, the way the schedule is and the divisional play, has made it the most difficult time capping to say the least. Memo to myself, play all games that fit a system, not just select a few. Had I of done that with scenario #3, I would’ve gone a cool 6-3 on that angle alone!
Only one game tonight, such a bizarre schedule after 11 games yesterday.

Three new angles that I have been tracking that might be something to look at both short and long term are as follows.

Scenario #1 – Teams that are playing each other in back to back games, in which the home team loses the first game, the record of the home team in the second game is 11-3!

Scenario #2 – Teams playing back to back road games on consecutive nights tend to go under the total in the 2nd game. So far that trend is 4-3 when teams play on the road back to back nights.

Scenario #3 - One last angle I am tracking that is slightly profitable and similar to Scenario #1, is when any team loses the first game of a back to back against the same team, regardless if it’s on the road or at home, those teams are 17-10 in that situation.

As for 1st period totals going over, it has taken a huge hit the last few nights. Yesterday it went 4-7, 32-52 on the season.
Road teams were 6-5 yesterday. 33-51 on the season.
Game totals going over the total went 5-6 yesterday, 49-33-2, which is still a very profitable angle.

Gamenotes for today/tonight –
Sens/Canucks – The Canucks depleted blueline continues to be a major issue for the team as Ottawa comes to town for 3 straight against Vancouver. Ottawa is on a 7 game road trip. Expect Matt Murray back in goal for Ottawa and look for Vancouver to give Demko at least one start in the next 3 games. Tim Stutzle returns to the Sens line-up after missing the last 3 games. Alex Galchenyuk draws in as well with Cedric Paquette out due to injury.

Canucks are favoured tonight on the ML-154 and the total is set at 6.5. Lean to the over here. I have no confidence in either team to get a feel on who will walk away with the win tonight with both teams struggling. Tuesday night offers 14 games for us! Florida returns to play on Tuesday night after a week off due to the covid issues with the Carolina Hurricanes.

Feel free to ask any questions in the blog and I always get back to everyone. I will have Twitter and Instagram going shortly. Good luck tonight!
