After a disappointing loss to the Islanders on Saturday, the Panthers came out firing on all cylinders in their 5-4 win against the Stars on Wednesday night.

No doubt about it, Florida was the stronger team in terms of speed/pace - so much so that the TNT announcers gave them great praise for keeping their legs moving and being a step ahead of the opposition.

Despite things getting a bit dicey there with the score, the Cats just seemed to have the right pressure applied to Dallas’ defense and star goalie, Jake Oettinger.

Not only that, but Reinhart continued his heater, adding goal 17 on the season. What’s more, the guys you need to score, did. Barky, Verheage, and Evan Rodriguez all found the back of the — with the latter netting two and also getting two apples. It was by far Rodrigues’ best game of the season:

And so the Cats look to carry this momentum into the last game of their three-game home stand tonight when the Penguins come to town.

It’s a been a tough go for Pittsburgh thus far this season. The aging Penguins currently sit in 7th place of the Metropolitan Division with an 11-11-3 record.

But that doesn’t mean they can’t be dangerous. The Pens still carry a lot of talent on the roster that is more than capable of putting up a fight and winning. They seem to always give Florida trouble, so the Cats should not be overconfident coming into tonight’s tilt.

It sounds like there will be no changes to the lineup tonight. Makes sense coming off that nationally televised win earlier in the week.
