The griffin’s posted a playoff summary today as they prepare for their first home game in 19 days. That’s 1 day short of the second longest stretch in the franchise’s history (20 days in 2015) between post season home appearances.

To be frank, The Griffs need to outwork Milwaukee and get some solid stops in net to grab the series lead. Stay out of the box and away from retaliation against an Admirals team that will be throwing big hits and have a talented crew that can draw opponents into penalties. You can hear Kasper talk about last games effort and physicality. They know they didn’t start on time and look to give a better effort.

As for the lineup, “there will be changes” but apparently Milwaukee doesn’t post their lineup so the Griffin’s are following suit. Edvinsson’s availability is of particular interest but we may not know until warmups. It sounds like the old days of mind games. Bowman was masterful in making life less fun for opponents. (Even rumored to have hot water cut off in opposing team locker room).

Tonight and Friday should see strong crowds at Van Andel. The team puts on a fantastic fan experience. The power play finally struck late in game 2 ( had only once in 5 games on an empty net). Special teams need to be ready to go. You can stream the game using the app. Should be a gritty affair with two teams that grow less fond of each other shift by shift.
