And the Kings thought the season of difficulties was over with the final game of the season.

Unfortunately it seems to never end for Dean Lombardi. Just a week after the end of the LA Kings season, there was more to think about, and more damage to control.

Stoll is slated to become a free agent July 1st and there was question of whether or not the Kings would re-sign him as is.

The 32-year old Stoll is coming off his worst statistical season to date and has dealt with a slew of injuries and poor performances in recent seasons.

The Kings have released an official statement:

Stoll posted bail this morning and awaits a hearing (today).

More details will come as the story develops. The headaches continue for Dean Lombardi. After a disappointing season, and a season in which the team had to deal with the Slava Voynov domestic abuse case, this is not the offseason start they wanted.
